Default Is there a place for me to download vista, with no key?

I am needing a new bootable vista disc. I would like to just download it from somewhere, that way I can install and then buy the key. After all, you have to buy the key to make it work anyway. So that's what you are actually purchasing, right? The key? I have a vista disc that I bought, and it came with a key. It's my personal key for my personal computer so I have to buy new keys when I repair someone's computer. However, I do not want to get all the scratches and such on my personal disc from using and re-using it all the time. So shouldn't there be somewhere to actually download it, on Microsoft.co m? I could have sworn there was but I can't find it anymore. Or is there somewhere else that you can do it, legally? I am not asking for any help doing anything wrong, as I said I have to buy the keys anyway. Just tired of using my own personal disc, that I need to keep safe.

Take your disc and copy it to a CDR or DVDR that you wouldn't mind scratching since you'd have your original as a backup.

make a usb vista installer from your CD, in that way you can preserve your precious CD. The procedure? Google it..

You don't even know me, kid. So please quit acting like you do, and keep your retarded comments to yourself. And for reference guys, answers like "google it" are not acceptable, as per the forum rules.

As for burning the disc, maybe I should have asked that. But it seems that vista is too large to fit on a regular dvd. So i take it that a dual layer is a must?

stick your disc in your drive and right-click it, properties, and see the size of the disc...
copy disc to another

and you say you fix computers? RAWRRR!!
also, shouldn't they have their own OS disc, or repair disc?

As mentioned by lockhead using a USB stick is a very valid solution which will actually speed up your installs quite a bit
There's many guides out there as to how it's done, for vista/7 it's basically a simple copy/paste, XP is another story.

And I'd say "google it" is pretty acceptable. It baffles me you haven't even tried, being the computer handy man you say you are you should be over and done with all this by now.

edit: BTW the "google it" is perfectly acceptable, considering he pointed you towards an alternative solution which you never asked for in the 1st place. If we had to go in every detail of every single idea we throw at people we probably wouldn't bother
