I have two drives, one that is my "c" drive where xp is installed and the other drive is where I keep large files(mp3,videos etc.) Since I'm preparing to install 7 I've moved everything I want to keep and all drivers I will need for 7 on this drive. Will 7 detect the second drive after an upgrade install on the primary drive?

Yeah is should see it as a secondary drive by default. Just make sure you install 7 on the correct drive or all is lost.

Dell has delivered me my new W7 machine with W7 partitioned on C drive and D drive is meant to be data. C drive is only 60Gb (I thought too small) and currently holds everything e.g. Users data, Programs, drivers, contacts etc. plus OS. D has nothing at 500GB+ and this is where I want most data/info to go.
__________________How can I change Users, Programs etc. from C drive to D drive? Or do I have to completely set up new folders on D drive and manually direct everything I want saved to D drive? I would appreciate any guidance. thanks a lot. Mismar
