XP Reinstallation problem

Ok so i have a packard bell system, and i'm trying to do a full installation of XP. i;ve tried using F11 key during post but it isn't working. (wich is strange because it has worked before some time ago) and i've also tried using the packard bell smart restore in the support section but thats not working either.
I've just about lost my rag with the DAMN thing so any help is apprieciated. THANKS!!!

just insert the xp disc while your pc is running and clicking install? i dont really understand what problems your having.

I dont have a xp disk it came already installed.

oh, well then you cant do a fresh install. you can do a system restore but thats about it.

I've done a fresh installation 3 times before using this process but it was about 6 months or so ago.

lol its not a fresh install its called a system restore. what most propriatary computer retailers do is make a restore point at the point of installation. then give you a restore disc to get back to that point. go to start all programs accessories system tools system restore and see how far back you can go.

Yeah i know about the system restore! lol! But i've always done it this way to get it back to the condition as when it was new. I'll give this way ago anyway . I'll let u know how it goes.

Well i did a restore to a date previous too when i bought the system, it said the restore was successful but nothing has changed. I really wouuld like to reinstall windows to how it was when it was new so does any one else have any ideas.
