Default Quick file transfer question

Hi, I have my friends HDD hooked up to my computer and I'm trying to copy all the pictures and music onto my HDD. Then I'm going to wipe his down and reinstall Windows. He has a username set up on his HDD and I think it's causing me problems. Each time I try to access/copy a folder/file I'll get
http://i36.tinypic.com/2mriirn.jpg
And after taking about 10 seconds to give myself permission, I can access it. Problem is, I then have to do to that for each individual item. Is there anyway I can speed up this process? He has about 3000 songs and 5000 pictures, so I couldn't see myself sitting here, clicking 8000 permission agreements. Thanks!

make a new directory in the root of that drive, then set the permissions on it to Everyone... then copy your data there...

Much of what looks like rudeness is not intended to give offense. Rather, it's the product of the direct, cut-through-the-bull**** communications style that is natural to people who are more concerned about solving problems than making others feel warm and fuzzy. Would you like to know more?

I tried copying the folder with all her contents, but when I try to copy it to the new folder on the same HDD, I get the message, "Access is Denied". And I only have one HDD on that computer, so I can't use copywipe.

Is there anyone way I can remove the administrator's password from another partition?
