Default Games, programs dropping to desktop

Ok, so it appears robilar has had this problem, so i thought I'd give you all a heads up.

Symptoms:
Games dropping to desktop every half hour
Active windows de-activating themselves, and nothing else taking focus
Screensaver deactivating itself

NOTE: This happens in half hour cycles

Cause:
Apparently it's the latest version of AVG (9.0) that does it. I found a thread on another site pointing to this problem, with AVG as the cause.
This fits with what I saw, as it only started doing it after getting 9.0.
I uninstalled AVG (I'd tried everything else), restarted, and it had fixed it. I played a couple of hours of mass effect to make sure, and it never dropped.

It seems to affect all versions of windows. Robilar is on XP, I'm on 7, and the other thread poster had Vista.

To resolve this, do a fresh install of AVG. Instructions here

Just thought you all should know asap.

Another reason to switch to Avira or Kaspersky. Or NOD32 if you have the money/you're crafty.
