Default Problems with installing SP2.....
On my GF's laptop, I've been trying to install SP2 on her HP laptop, but it keeps erroring out. I'll do it again to get the actual error code, but I just wanted to know if this was a common problem.

I've tried 3 times already.

System: Pure Pwnage

Ehh....

Has she been able to install SP2 normally before this? Is this her first time doing it?

Is the version of XP original or copied?

Here's a screenshot of the error.

Well, I had to reformat her lappy about a month ago because SP2 just totally crashed it, and she had never done it before. So I reformated it, and now I was trying to install it, but it's giving me this No ID error......

Well, I don't have the E whatever they are talking about, but I did have Norton anti-virus running, so i turned everything off. Hope fully this will fixit.

You definately want to turn everything off. Open task manager and shut down everything you dont need to run it.

If that works be sure to go and update sp2 also. There is like 38 updates...lol.
