Does anyone know how to ger past the fact that I can't seem to load xp pro onto my other computer without getting the message in the bottom right hand corner that I have 30 days to register the xp pro version. Please let me know. Thanks.

Unfortunately this cannot be done unless you have an illegal copy of windows which we do not condone here. Sorry you will just have to activate it..Doesnt take long..Just ring microsoft up with the number you are provided with.

You don't have to register XP, only activate it. If you have a legitimate XP Pro COA, you shouldn't have a problem with activation. Sadly, with a standard COA, you won't be able to activate more than one installation of XP on any desktop PC's.

There are two solutions to this. Buy another copy of XP, or buy a legitimate XP Pro COA.

To my knowledge, it is legal to buy an XP COA separate from the actual software it's self, although you may have to purchase a token piece of hardware with the COA to be make it a totally legal purchase.

I would strongly advise you against any form of software piracy and would also stress that overclock.net does in no way condone or advocate any form of software piracy.

With a COA copy you can actually activate it on more than one pc You just cant activate it over the internet you just have to get a code from microsoft by phoning them.

Thanks guys. I'm not talking about an illegal copy or anything, I just want to install my bought copy of xp pro onto my other computer. Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to run xp pro without having to buy yet another copy. Cheers!!

you can buy a genuine validation kit
for $150
its at microsofts site
or do a search for it

but if u install it and phone them they should give you a validation code

the only thing that might mess up is the Windows Updates when you run the
genuine software checker , it will say that your code isnt valid

so you have to get a genuine validation kit one way or another

im not saying that you should do this illegally but my friend downloaded xp pro corporate off of bear share and he then got keygen and it worked fine..im not sure if he tried downloads off microsoft.com but it was sp2 so whatever... and im nto saying to do this, im just saying it works

i did it
and ive had problems

some things dont get installed right
is MUCH les stable than the real thing
but still real stable

im sure you have a friend you can get a copy from and BS the phone call
