Well, I had no idea what was up until I rebooted my rig yesterday morning. I started it up, it got past "Verifying DMI Pool Data" and "Backup CMOS...OK", and it went to a blank screen, and proceeded to reboot within ~1 second. I heard about the issues people have been having with DFI's crappy SATA cables, so I swapped them out for two I know work, to no avail. Ironically enough, it showed an error message for a millisecond before it blanked out...Out comes the camera and video editing software. Shot a video, slowed it down, freezed it, it said:
![]() ...Helpful, the worst error message possible. I searched around to fix the issue, but there's no boot.ini file anywhere within Windows...I can't do it through the standard System > Advanced > Settings under Enviroment > Edit boot.ini file...Thankfully, I was able to resurrect the array on another computer with a different working array, an Expert setup I just built for a friend, I set this one to non-boot and was able to get my important files off and safe, burned to a DVD. Re-formatted, installed Windows, all set, but very awkward. The lesson today kids: Always back up your stuff!

Yeah, I gave that a shot, too bad the recovery console didn't recognize my RAID array.
