worth moving to x64
i m thinking of completely moving to x64 window. is it worth it?? i wont use dual boot at all. just 64 bit windown. that means i need to spend around 150 $$ to buy that OS

personally I would say yes...I think more and more games will come out with patches for 64 bit like Far Cry, HL2 and UT2004 have done which gives a decent boost in the image quality of the game. I am running it right now and there's a noticeable increase in performance just in windows apps and stuff. Have you used the trial version at all?

some divers are hard to find, printers and such
but once you get going its nice plus the 64 bit driver count keep going up allows for 32 bit programs to run fine and to their full potential and allows for future 64 bit programs that x32 WONT be able to support you can have 4+ gigs or ram all the way to 1024 gigs, omg that would be the most rediculous thing ever otherwise it isnt really different

you can play halo 2 on vista. and it looks pretty but its coming out in 07 right? or late 06'?

Halo 2 is only playable on Vista unfortunately but also bear in mind if you go for XP64 that the drivers can be a pian but are alot better now but there arnt many firewalls or antivirus's that will work in 64

I agree with what ENT said...I dual booted and I couldnt find any firewalls or anti-virus programs that worked of x64.
__________________I found all the drivers I needed though that wasnt a problem, make sure you can get all the drivers before you go to x64
