Make sure you're installing on a clean hard drive, no left over win32 drivers (mobo, video card, etc). Is it a new build or did you have Win32 on it before?

Yes, I hope you are dealing w/ a legal copy, issues w/ illegal copies are so random it'll pay off just to pay the damn people their $$

I have a "educational" version of XP Pro, and it's has so many issues I wish I had bought a legal OEM version from the start.

Sorry, drifting off topic. If this is a new build we need to make sure your hardware is not faulty.

Yeah, I did have it before...I did a format (quick) but it kepts freezing, so I just installed win xp again.

I thought my hard drive was broken so I went back to replace it and got me a new one but same thing happened.

I'm thinking my amd 3000 is not working good because my pc keeps crashing randomly when I do stuff

Well if you think it's your proccessor you could install win 32 and then test it using OCCT, super pi, or prime95. However, maybe it's the 64 bit capabilities of the proccessor that are messed up. Seems hard to test w/o the 64 bit environment.

On the other hand, is it possible for a processor to workperfectly fine in a 32 bit environment and then just be unstable in 64 bit? Seems unlikely to me.

In your profile it says your memory is o'clocked. You're sure it's stable aren't you?
