Can't really explain what is going on besides that on startup, Windows DEP starts knocking off Windows processes like Generic Host Services (or is it Processes?), LSA Shell (export version) and a few others. It's even taken out the RPC service once. Any idea what is going on? New install, BTW, and it is doing this on 3 computers. Bad update, perchance?

Not that I have read about.
You have a common application installed on all three machines? Generic service host is just a wrapper around system services. LSA Shell (else known as lsass.exe - local sec authority service) deals with login policies and local security. Did you patch these systems before putting on the 'net? You sure you used safe media/install points? Errors? Event logs?

Do you have an anti-virus program? I remember a virus that used to mask its self ass lsass.exe - it spelt it Isass.exe to try and fool you. It was transmitted through msn messenger.

I have Norton antivirus Corporate Edition (server version).
All updates were secure. I don't have MSN messenger, but I do use the Microsoft Messenger (same thing?).
