Default Windows Install Problems...
Well, I'm tryin to reinstall Windoze on the rig in my sig...
it gets to 34 minutes remaining and it just stops dead...
i tried the cd in both drives, to no avail...

help!

well, i went in to the all blue dos program that you first see when installing windows.
i said repair....
it reboots and goes to the fancy-looking install screen. its on the fourth step "installing windows"
the progress bar gets to "installing devices" and 34 minutes remaining and stops.
the cd drives stops and the hdd light stops too.

Are there any "devices" you know of that might possibly be givig Windows the prob? Sure is a wierd one.

Any removable media such as USB sticks will and can cause an install to crash or hang. Something else i will tell you is that when it stays on 34 mins for a long time thats actually normal in alot of cases.
