About 11 to 15 seconds. 64bit gives it a massive kick up the backside. With a defragged HDD and on a good day, less than 10.

16-20 seconds here. But boot times don't concern me as much as the performance after I log in. If it took 4 minutes, I could care less as long as it flew once I got in.

It's a good thread, but its a little misleading to compare boot times if we are all measuring from different start points and/or to different finish points. It would be good if we all measured from the moment we press the "on" button to the "Welcome" screen (in XP), as this would eliminate Windows services and programs that start with Windows as a factor and be a more accurate measurement of hardware performance, imo.
With defragmentation of the Windows Registry and HDD data and with various other Windows Performance tweaks, my computer can usually boot up in about 42 seconds. This is using a stopwatch to time the boot, from the moment I press the "on" button, until the moment the last icon has loaded on in the taskbar where the time is. If I measure from the moment I press the "on" button until the moment I get to desktop, my boot is under 30 seconds, if I measure to the "Welcome" screen, It is around 20 seconds or so. Highly-Annoyed
