A computer that I loaded XP on (correctly) is having problems writing to the Floppy Drive & The D: Drive, the error message states:
Quote:
I performed a fresh install of Windows XP correctly on a pre-formatted disk (althought I reformatted before I began the install); A business upgraded their computers and upgraded and donated these for a write-off.

This may sound silly but for the Floppy have you checked at the back that you have the floppy to be allowed to be written to and that its not on Write protect.? On the back of the floppy there is a little switch move it over to the other location from where it is now and should work.

On the back of the floppy there is a switch in the top left corner. Make sure it's closed. If you can't close it put a piece of tape over it.
