Default Media Center question

I see certain drivers for media center and then certain drivers for windows XP home or pro. Do i have to use drivers for media Center for media center or can i download drivers that say they work for windows xp home or something on Media Center. I ask because all the new beta drivers and newest drivers for my video card are out under xp home/pro but when i choose to see what under mediacenter drives it shows something older and no option for beta drivers. Im sorry this sounds confusing i didnt know really how to ask this question.

i think if you dont use the media center drivers im pretty sure youll lose some functionality w/ media center. the pro drivers should work but i think if your actually using the media center program and remote whatnot you should get the media center drivers

I use the standard XP drivers for my graphics card and haven't had a problem. I could see it creating complications though when running the media center stuff over the remote, as stated by the previous user.

i havnt had a problem yet...key word...but when you use media center it still works the same...i think the drivers are just optimized for media center...and r ment more for people who use media center...Nvidia has some media center options in the menu thing and thats basicly the diffrence
