Ok Guys
Exactly as the title asks, How do I transfer emails from my Mozilla Thunderbird to Microsoft Outlook

The best way to have this setup (as experience has shown me) is to make sure in Thunderbird you have the option checked to 'Leave messages on server'. It might take a few extra seconds to connect each time you go to read the message, but that way, when you set up your account in outlook, the messages will all be downloaded.
Unfortunately, I experienced a similar situation a few months ago, but I was going from Outlook to Thunderbird after a reformat. The reformat deleted all of my emails, and since they had been downloaded and not 'Left on server' the messages were lost. I highly reccommend doing the 'Leave messages on server' option. Sorry for not directly answering your post, but I feel that this little factoid is quite the important!

well there are messages i need to keep on there but i will just have to leave them there until there is no further use for them,
pity thunderbird wasnt as user friendly as outlook ie: dragging emails into email folders
