Since my 360 just got the RRoD, and I was going to sell it, I just came up with a good plan to get some money or possibly a new 360.
I'm going to try the towel trick on it and take it into GameStop to sell it to them. When they go to check if it works, if it doesn't pass and they say it has the RRoD, I'm going to say I've never had a problem with it before, and that they broke it. Hopefully after a can of whoopass, they pay me for it or I get a replacement. If I don't get either of the above, I still haven't lost anything. Opinions?

They'll buy it, but you won't get much for it. GameStop buys stuff for cheap and jacks up the price they sell it for. You're better off selling it on eBay for parts or something.

wrap it airtight in a towel and cook it for a while. the heat melts the solder points for the cpu/gpu and basically resockets them. one of the leading causes of rrod.
it also reseats the heatsinks as they sometimes dont touch properly.

That is an incredibly honest and upstanding thing to to...Oh how well we have raised our youth.
Look its broke, this stuff happens, either buy a new one or go get a PS3. Send it back to microsoft, ask for your money back or something, use it as a door jam.

I have to agree with MXjunk 127.
There is no excuse for dishonesty in any circumstance. What you should do is send it in for repair through Microsoft. If they give you any trouble, you argue with them about how unacceptabe it is to have the system break on you, and they should fix it. Sorry...
