New to Overclock.net

xbox360 and media center/video files
so last week everything was fine, my 360 was streaming videos from my computer with no problems... today i try and play videos, going to the media tab, and then selecting the videos button and it tells me that the xbox cant connect to my computer.
__________________im using windows vista home premium 64-bit and an xbox elite. the only thing ive done on my computer within the last week is download the microsoft updates... i tried reconfiguring file sharing and everything through media player, and media center. when i go to my network folder, my computer sees the xbox and all my files are being shared through media player, but the xbox cant connect to the computer... any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe try turning the sharing all way off on your pc then going to your xbox and disconecting it from all computers Then try to setup the stuff again.

yea, i tried that too, no luck. the xbox is using the wireless adapter and connects fine to the network, and i can play on xbox live. it just wont recognize my computer anymore... its very annoying.

no, i cant see music or pictures either, i used to be able to...
__________________ill check my router, although i havent touched any settings on my router so that shouldnt be the problem, but ill check anyways. thanks for the suggestions.

How long have you networked it like this? I ask because every once in a while my router won't let anything pass through to 1 computer. I have to disconnect it for about an hour and then reconnect it. I have no idea why, but this fixes it. Nothing else will work. I don't restart anything either, just disconnect and that's it.

if was working fine before update, then i would do a system restore and see if it still works

ive had it setup for about a month without any problems... ill try resetting the router too, and try system restore
