Default XBOX360, Arcade or

alright, so heres the deal, im looking at getting the xbox360 arcade version because it only costs a little over 200 now, but because it has no hard drive, this worries me.

are you able to hook up an external hard drive and use it as the primary drive for the xbox or must you use the standard hard drive type for xbox? While were going there, is it worth the extra 100 dollars to buy the pro version and get a 60gb hard drive and whatever other goodies come with it. Im open to all suggestions.

I don't think that you can use an external hdd, but you can buy the arcade version and just buy an extra xbox hdd for the same $100 you saved.

You can play Movies, Music, Pictures off and external HDD as long as it is FAT32, it won't read NFTS format.

i would just save the extra money for the premium since you NEED a hard drive to play online, and trust me you will regret not getting the one with the hard drive (i've done it returned it 3 days later and got the one with the hard drive)

yea save the extra money and get the pro, because you can't use an external HDD to save content onto. you can only play content off of the external. you will regret not getting the pro

Another vote for the pro. The way things are going, spending the extra money and getting the 60 gigs as compared to the 20 will be a lifesaver. I've the elite model, and I'm using about 40 gigs already.

using live search cashback you can get the 120gb harddrive for $104, but you have to go to the one video game store's site, it doesn't come up if you search

thanks for the reply guys, im seriously gonna wait and just buy the pro then because all i really want it for is rock band 2. Im not a big gamer, i already have rock band on ps2, but from what i hear, it is not gonna be ported to ps2, plus i really want the downloadable tracks badly. Im just gonna wait and eventually buy the pro version.
