that would work, is your 360 a model with an HDMI port? I have my PS3, HD-DVD player and HD cable box run to a HDMI switch and then a HDMI to DVI cord plugged to my TV, no problems.

you would only get 720p not 1080i or p at all... Well, you could, but you would get that annoying popup from the monitor that says this is not the optimal resolution..

Only the newer model 360s (and the first Elites) have them.

As for connecting the 360 to a monitor, if you have the HDMI port, just use an HDMI to DVI cable. If you don't have an HDMI port or if you're using your DVI port for something else, you can grab this.

I'm using a cheap 360 VGA cord now and my picture is very clear compared to the official. It cost me $12 and the quality of this cable is higher then that of the official. When I say quality, I mean the cable is really stiff and thick. It's really hard to bend these. Not no Pelican brand or Madcatz. This is a lot better then thiers.
