Default Xbox to monitor plugin question

Hey guys im going to purchase one of those cords off of Ebay soon and I am just curious as to what the red and yellow VGA cords are for that are attached to the plugin? If they are for my mobo does my mobo have the capability to work with it? Mobo is in sig.

Yes, they are for sound, your best bet it to get a little "splitter" type thingy (I'm not an electrician, if you can't tell), that will switch the red and white to a green computer speaker connector, then just use computer speakers for sound.

That splitter is called "RCA Female to 3.5mm Male."

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-5mm-to-Dual-RC...QQcmdZViewItem

That's a link to one on eBay. It's similar to the one I have. Make SURE you try and find a longer one on eBay, as mine barely reached to my PC.

As for the monitor portion, I wouldn't plan on using adapters. I tried using my adapters and they wouldn't work so I had to buy a whole cable to connect to the PC.
