regardless, you gotta admit there is some irony in seeing their own products fail at their booth.

kinda like this.....

Good info for people looking to buy a 360. I personally got my 360 the Christmas they came out but then got an RRoD a little less than a year later. I had to check the back of my console to see which revision I had. I was kind of bummed out when I saw the 16.5 LoL but hey it's still going strong. I'll need to open it up later to see what kind of cooling is in it. Anything I should know before opening this puppy up?

Edit: Forgot to include that I shipped it in for repair. ooops

Um...don't. Voiding the warranty on a RRoD happy console is generally thought to be a bad idea. But I guess that is just me talking since I don't have the money to replace one.

Other than that, just be careful and don't break those clips off on the ends

Thx for the advice. I shipped in my first xbox to get it repaired and was just wondering if the new cooling was implemented on it. I did see a change in the amount of heat being exhausted or it might just be me.

and just so you know, im a 360 owner myself (falcon) so its not like im an anti-360 fanboy just bashing on them.
I didn't mean to sound rude, but two weeks ago doesn't mean that that is a Jasper console. Hardly any Jasper Pro models are out in the open. I haven't even seen one so I don't even know if they're out yet. Your first statement was "They still fail", but that isn't proof because that isn't a Jasper model so you don't know if they still fail.

Usually they either send you back an Opus, which should help, but I have not seen any returns being Jaspers, but a lot being Falcons.

So, usually it'll be an Opus, or they will give you a Falcon.

My Lite-On drive with the Arcade consoles is by far the quiestest drive I have had with a 360 console. The BenQ is also a very quiet drive. You most likely have a Hitachi or the other originals which were extremely loud and annoying, haha.

Yeah I probably do.

Thankfully now I just load my current most played game on the HD and that takes care of that. Hooray NXE

That's true, because the Pro consoles come with an HDD. The onboard memory was a solution for the Arcade console only because of the NXE needing more available memory.

I didn't expect any other consoles but Arcades to have onboard memory, since it was mainly only for the NXE and every other 360 console has an HDD when purchased.
