That's true, I just know there are a few lot numbers lower that would probably still be one, but precaution for a Jasper is a must.

Also I never knew the HDD changed. I like the older ones more.

Also remember though, not all stores and places have the most up to date stock. I'm glad you got yourself a Jasper

the arcade lot numbers are lower, but premiums are higher since they started making jaspers in arcade editions first

Everywhere i've looked around here either don't have the newest revisions yet, or wont let me open the box and check.

What are the chances do you think, of Play.com having the Jasper units in stock?

NewEgg has them. But, there is no sure way of knowing unless it states 256MB of onboard flash, which is only on the Jasper Arcade console. No others have that.

You don't have to open the box to look. If you asked them to let you see the box in store, just turn it to the side where the slot is where they scan the serial number. Gently look inside the hole to the left side of the hole. You will be able to see if it's 12.1A, 14.2A, or 16.5A. All you need to see is either a 1A, 2A, or 5A, because those will be able to tell you which one is which. Make sure it's the middle number though, not the 5V rail.

Your best bet is getting it on NewEgg because they have them in stock, or going back to the store and doing what I said above.

You most likely can't get anything from NewEgg since you're in the UK.

is it a repaired console? Because microsoft can legally put a brand new label, with a new manufacturing date from when they repaired the 360, it appears new, but isn't.

Yes is repaired.
Well the MB and the fans all look new in the inside and there is no dust. Had this since December.

Well, what do you know? My brother and I were going to play some Madden for a rematch of the Super Bowl (LOL!!!) and I got the RRoD. I might send it in for repair or I might just sell it locally as is and buy one off Newegg. I want me a Jasper!

Edit: I've already had to send it in once.

Are you sure they are the same cooler? I had a Zephyr that had a Falcons cooler (The one without the heatpipe visible through it), but it was a Zephyr. Also, if the date says 2008 then it's possible that it's actually an Opus unless you bought it brand new. Did you return it before?

They don't do this, but it is true that they could. It sounds like it was repaired once before and is actually an Opus.

Okay, then it is an Opus, not a Zephyr or a Falcon. It's a mix of parts. That's the console they return to you. It's a Zephyr board but it has an updated cooler and they added a newer drive it seems.

They look new, but they're refurbished and it seems you do indeed have an Opus revision.

I would sell it at working condition and buy an Arcade that is a Jasper.
