Default Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows

my son is got a wireless control and wants to use it on his pc. im looking for a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows. where can i get one and will it work with windows 7. are they good or are we better off getting a wired one.

They work fine in 7. And yes, they're good. The connection stays good even when I take the controller out to the living room.

I love mine. I use it every day for every game I own except FPS's. However, if you have Windows 7, it causes your boot time to lag dramatically. Other than that, it's great.

a wired one would probably be cheaper and no recharging ($30 for a receiver, c'mon thats ridiculous)

I got mine new in box for $30 shipped with a wireless xbox 360 controller on ebay. Your best bet is to buy it with the controller.
