If not, check whether your Xbox is a Jasper or not . If it isn't then there is a higher chance there is an overheating issue.
I looked on the power brick and it says 203watts (Or 230 lol I can't remember from last night, and I already have it packed up to go). The warranty slip from Best Buy says the last time we went was in february 2008, and I do believe we had the warranty renewed in case it would happen again.

Alright well I returned it today and after looking at the power brick it is not a Jasper chip. The brick says 175 watts on it and according to that article that is a 65nm Falcon.

Did the screen fill with lines and ****?

If so, it's the HANA chip. (think that's the name) It's a little chip near the GPU. I forget what it does but I put a small heatsink on it with a bit of pressure and it corrected the problem. Then 3 weeks later the DVD drive died and I launched the console at a wall. (no, not joking)

I don't know if it was the pressure or the heatsink itself that fixed it.

Nope no lines. No audio or visual period.

Well, here's to hoping your new Falcon XBOX 360 doesn't die for the fourth time in a row.

I thought that was the Zephyr(203Watt??) chip that had the epicly high failure rate. The Falcon I have now is the newer 65nm model, and should (according to online articles) not be as prone to failing, be faster, and emit less heat. So far it seems to back up being faster and emitting less heat. This thing loads GTA4 and everything else so fast compared to my last console.

I meant I hope your Xbox doesn't die in general, LOL, no matter which chip it has. It's good to see that the claims of it being faster and cooler are true... I'm still trying to decide whether I want a PS3 or a 360. I still have until the holidays to decide.

EDIT: Thanks for rep, btw. Glad to see you appreciated all of the "help" I gave you. XD

OH! Lol thanks. Yeah thanks for the "help". Without it I would have never been able to figure out if I had a Falcon chip.
