Exclamation Did the graphics die?

Alright so I was just playing GTA 4 multiplayer and after I respawned colors were all funky and messed up. Same with the dashboard. So I decided to shut it down to reboot it and when I turned it back on there is no video at all. Xbox sounds fine when it boots. Also there are no rings or anything. Could the Xbox have overheated? What should I do. I also have no idea if the warranty is good or not.

Are you getting sound out of your Xbox? Also, do check to make sure it is still connected with the TV. :P

I had the same problem, are you still under the 3 year RRoD warranty? Because it will probably RRoD on you soon.

Pff that's reassuring. But I said in the OP I have no idea if the warranty is still good.

Its weird cause the controllers register, and when I put a disk in it makes all the sounds it normally would.

If a piece of hardware in your Xbox is failing (which it maybe is), it WILL, most likely, RRoD soon. That's what RRoD is for after all; to indicate hardware failure.

Also, about the warranty, Microsoft extended the warranty of ALL XBOX 360s to 3 years after the failure rate of pre-Jasper XBOXs started to explode.

So if you bought your Xbox less at around November 2006, you should still be good.

By register, you mean the lights turn on and all?

If this console is busted, then this would be the third time I would be replacing it. The console manufacturing date says 1-9-2008 (Or 9-01-2008 can't tell. It says 2008-01-09 on the back). I originally bought this console from Best Buy & have had the warranty renewed everytime I had to return it. However I don't remember how long ago that was. Somewhere within a year to a year-and-a-half is what I think. I also think the warranty is good for 2 years, but that could just be me being too hopeful.

Wow, that's either a 100% or 300% failure rate on your Xbox. I'm not exactly sure which of the two. Anyways, go to Best Buy and see if they can set up an instant trade for you. If not, check whether your Xbox is a Jasper or not . If it isn't then there is a higher chance there is an overheating issue.
