Personally I love it but apparently IGN and lots other english review sites dont agree with me. They say it sucks because it's a JRPG and its not original. Honestly they gave GTA 4 a perfect score and you can not say that that game's story isn't every crime cliche mixed up and poured on the floor.
__________________The IGN guy even says that the game sucks because you have to do quests and he even says that he skipped the said quests through the majority of the game in favor of hours of grinding. I'm sure it would have gotten a 10 if you could run around stealing cars and killing people all while following the shallowest story ever heard of. Anyway what impresses me is the voice acting, all except one of the main characters has a voice from Code Geass, the main character is voiced by the same guy who did Lelouch who also voiced Nero DMC. What do you people think about it?

I tried it, and didn't really like it. The combat system needs some more work to be considered fun imo, as it is now it feels like a chore. And the story... is just awful. IF it makes any difference, I didn't like GTV IV either

Thank god, I'm not the only one. I keep trying to play it and love it, but just can't. Not trying to hijack the thread though, I am waiting on Gamefly to ship out Magna Carta for me, looks good though.

What do you do in JRPG's? You fight random battle's and progress along a story. Only differance is the story is longer and typically far more deep than anything that can be found in a GTA game. They even make an effort to change the combat to try and make it fun.

I'm drawn towards this game as I want to have a JRPG in my selection of games, although I'm not sure whether to get this or Tales of Vesperia. I've had quite a bit more positive comments/recommendations towards ToV in terms of the combat system and gameplay... but what do you think of Magna Carta 2?
Plus, in another note: I found GTA IV to be very boring after the first 1 hour or so. The only thing that interested me was the story which got samey and old very quickly. I think the GTA series has gone down a lot considering how good GTA 3 was.

This is assuming your on a budget and can only buy a few games, you should be able to get Lost Odyssey and ToV used anywhere now.

I bought it but I haven't played it at all yet. I'm going to finish Star Ocean before I start Magna Carta 2.
