Ebay has tons of xbox 360 mobos, pick one up for a few $ and try your best
 SMT soldering video. Watch in HD! It's clearer and is more helpful.

Okay, try this:
Overheat your 360 by making it so no air goes over the GPU and only over the GPU Then tighten down your bolts more and let it cool for 30 minutes then start it back up and play.

only problem with the above is attaching it as i still dont know how il do it... maybe il use my famous string mod (see cheap-o mod) what do u guys think?
the mobo still works even though the thingies are missing because i saw it before and it still turns on

ok so i attached the big heatsink using some string and i set it up and all ...all i needed to do was to get it to overheat again and this time it took 3 times as long to overheat with out any fans i guess this heat sink fits the bill seeing as how it came with AMD cpu and this is AMD gpu...
hopefully when it cools down it will work EDIT: iv been playing a game for hours and still no expected RRoD so the heatsink did the trick

Those are capacitors, not resistors. Chances are they were being used for decoupling... which means they are not absolutely essential to operation, but your xbox may exhibit strange behavior as it will be more susceptible to electrical noise and EMI.
