That was my point. Your xbox should work fine 99.9% of the time... but one day someone is going to plug in a vacuum cleaner or turn on a microwave in the room next to yours and the game you are playing is going to glitch or your xbox may freeze/crash. Nothing a reset won't fix, but it wouldn't have happened if those caps hadn't been broken off the board.

Hey vtech. I just checked under one of my Xbox 360's motherboards. Mine is missing some too. There were also about three or four that were only connected on one point and a I tried to push them away from the others so it doesn't short out and a few fell off. It still works though.

Thought that may help.

That means it probably doesn't have proper contact. Are you using screws/bolts or the xclamps? If the xclamps, use bolts. If bolts or screws tighten them more. Be sure to overheat it good also, I personally do it by completely cleaning off the thermal paste and putting the heatsinks on as normal then run it until it autoshuts off from overheating. Then apply thermal paste after that.

Give me the marks next to whatever resistors are missing and I may be able to tell you what values they are.

They shouldnt cause the xbox to RROD though. Thats from the normal xbox 360 GPU/CPU issues.. heat, solder stress over time.. loses connection.

I swear, someone's gonna bake their xbox (literally in the oven) due to the broken solder joints lol. Hey, it works for some video cards

I did... and it worked. I think that's why they started falling off, and my dvd drive and sync buttons are in a puddle. I also lost my dvd key due to a bad hard drive so my Xbox 360 can't even play games now...
