so i'm buying a 360 on the 7th, it's going to be arcade, should i make sure to get the jasper or the falcon, i've heard about jasper overheating and getting RROD MORE than the falcon.

errr i think u got it backwards, jasper is suppose to be the newest board and should have fixed the RROD problem..

jaspers are 65 nm on both cpu and gpu while falcon is 90 and 65 nm

Theres nothing wrong with new ones, plus you don't need an extended warranty ms will fix them out of warranty anyways. You'll most likely get a jasper anyways but both are fine.

They are all Jasper's now.

You have no need to worry.

You're not at any risk. The Extended Warranty is worthless at this point. You already have a fantastic warranty from Microsoft in case it falls, but I've not seen one Jasper fail with RROD over the same problems as the old ones. I have seen a Jasper have a RROD, but it was 99% a different problem than all the rest.

And whoever told you that their Jasper has overheated more than a Falcon is just making up completely false information for absolutely no reason.

Depending on where you live, I doubt you'll have a lot of time to scrutinize whether the Xbox360 you're buying is a jasper or the one that some woman just stole from you at Wal-Mart while you were looking at the outside of the boxes deciding which one you wanted.
