Last and finaly update: 16/03/11
I have completly rework what was in the case.
Out of necessity I revived it.
Update:04/12/10
As it seems that this is going to be quite delayed, I'm going to finish the project as it is, and hopefully in a couple of months, I'm going to start a new project after I collect a few more things.
Update: 28/11/10
Due to missing shipment, the build is on delay
Update: 30/11/10
Well it seems that the package has been "found" and is currently in brazil by the USPS and the brazil postal offices.
That is great, except its on the other end of the world...
PPCs say its a USPS error in marking, and its actually in Israel where it belongs, except there is no information about the package on the Israel postal offices site.
I'm a bit skeptic about it. I will verify tomorrow (hopefully).
Hello.
I am pretty new to any modifications.
Meaning I have never done any
Getting a strong rig requires a strong cooling, and having a big black box of a case, just invites a good cooling platform. Aka, water-drowning... ermm... I mean cooling.
The main issue with the case, except it being awesome, is the lack of space or support for radiators inside. Meaning there is no space, nor options to put a radiator inside, without losing the front fans.
What I decided to do, after seeing this done before (but on a larger scale), I decided to mod the case to allow inserting the big radiator inside.
Its a simple mod, but without completely disassembling the case, its not as easy as it looks.
It main requires cutting the middle bracket to allow inserting the radiator+fans in that space, plus a lot smarter cable management to make it look big.
Specs of the computer components:
1. Picture of case before.
2. Stripped (porn!) and starting to cut.
3. Cut done. Still dirty.
4. Cleaned, Radiator and fans inside.
5. Setting up the loop and testing.
6. Almost everything installed. System is up and running.
7. Extra items arrive. Second pump, fitments.
7. A couple of EK blocks arrived. Tested placing one on the GTX465
8. Complete rework after I decided to revive the project for other means.
Finaly picture of the case:
Thank you for reading and checking this out.
Hope I won't fail too much at modding the case
