Hello and welcome.

I have recently decided to scratch my PC-X2000 project, as I felt that the case requires too much work, and in the end, very limited to what I wanted to do with it.
With so many video cards, the case starts to cramp up.

Also, I wanted to push the watercooling more, and instead of having a "decent" watercooling setup, I wanted something much, much cooler (but without to TEC).

So, I decided this is time for a brand new project.
Something more interesting, more room, more power, just more (except the noise).

So this is what it will include:
  • Computer hardware

    CPU: I7-980x
Motherboard:Gigabyte X58-UD9 Asus Rampage III Extreme + Xpander
    Memory: Corsiar Dominator-GT 2000MHZ CL8
    GPUs: Nvidia GTX 580 - 4-way SLI

    Boot Disk: G.Skill Phoenix Pro 60GB x 4 - Raid0
    Data Disks: WD 1TB Black Sata3 - Raid0
    Backup Disk: Samsung 2TB F4

    Main PSU: Corsaid AX1200
    Second PSU: Enermax Revolution+ 1250W

    Case: Mountain Mod Ascension
  • Water-cooling bits

CPU Block: EK Supreme HF Full nickel
GPU Blocks (4): EK GTX 580.

Radiators (3): Black Ice GTX 360

    Pumps (2): Swiftech MCP-35X
    Reservoir: Koolance 402X2 bay

    Tubing: UV Red
  • Air-cooling bits

Radiator Fans: (9) Scythe Ultra Kaza 3000RPM
Case Fans (5): Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15 1850RPM
    Fans Controllers (1): Lamptron FC-2

Lol, I'm looking forward to this man.

As soon as I heard Intel 980x I had my ears up.

Good luck man.

Update:

I have decided to change some stuff.

Going for 580s on water.

I will get them in a few days, and the blocks have been shipped along with a couple of radiators and some extra stuff like grills and adapters.

Hopefully I will get the third radiator soon, so I will not have to do 2 stages of the build.

lol yeah.

You can just see the tip of the screw on the other side, just shy of coming out, and you want to yell at it "grow some balls and get all the way!"

I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
First thing on my list.

These are the quaddro drivers with modded INF.

I got them off guru3d forums.

My cards are in stocking cooling still. They reach about 75-77c under load at 1.1v and 900 core.

I got a chance to get a used UD9 and some EK water blocks for it.
Problem is that the store they came from don't sell them anymore, so I have no idea what to do.

On one side, the UD9 has the NF200 chips, which won't hinder the 580s, on the other hand, I love my R3E.

What to do?

Well I wasn't able to find a similar benchmark which I can compare.

I get 18618 graphics score in 3Dmark 11 and 55K gpu score in vantage with my 580s at 900MHZ and CPU at 4.47.
Wasn't able to find a similar bench, or very close, on a UD9.

I have seen a 18889 graphics score in 3dmark 11 on a UD9 with 900 core, but the CPU wasn't at the same speeds.
But that is also the score I get at 915 core so, no idea.

Its just 1.4%, which is pretty much nothing.

But also having the option to 4-way (damn I have big eyes), is nice, along with having the water blocks on the motherboard.
