I've got three different builds on my mind (2 on amd and one on intel).
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/YwRQt6
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/YT2HwP
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/gjkHyc

my current build is:
i5-4590
8gb ddr3 1600mhz
h97 asrock pro4 matx mainboard
r7 370
500w psu

after selling my cpu, mobo and ram i will have 200gbp, both amd options would take only extra 40gbp to change over while skylake would take 120 gbp but i then would be able to use ddr4, help me making my mind up, is ddr4 worth it or is it not?

I know that it's pointless to go for apu if i got dedicated gpu but i've read that amd is working on making drivers that can utilize both in the same time thus im staying open minded and taking apu in consideration as well.

Pc purpose: gaming, photo editing, browsing, streaming (maybe).

r5-1600 4.0 1.337vcore 2735 cb20 score
amd wraith prism cpu cooler
b450m asus prime motherboard
16gb ddr4 2933mhz oc'd cl 16 hyperx ram
gtx 1050ti 4gb low power

Honestly i think either of the AMD 'upgrade' would be a downgrade, both in discrete GPU gaming performance and in synthetic applications(photo editing).
About the usage of both gpus, directx 12 may also allow this tech between intel and nvidia

the upgrade may not be worth it imo, maybe buy a z77/97 mobo so you can oc tour cpu a bit and add faster or more ram (ddr3 2400)

Keep what you have.

Don't switch to an AMD processor.

If anything, save up and upgrade the GPU if you plan on gaming more.

but i think u can take the fx type from amd processor.i can said amd can last long with their thermal solution and if u tight on budget, this is ur solution.furthermore, last one year i work in computer shop in malaysia and one of my customer ask for a new amd desktop type and that customer work as a photographer and using the amd processor to make a photoediting.
