Glad you're sorted! Even if only temporarily

And yes, it's been like that with AMD since as far back as i can recall. Always from them (rather than the mobo's support page), always separately, always chipset first.

And a general advice, never ever trust "Auto" settings. Learn what it needs by doing it manually, bit by bit; it's why proper OCs take time. And when/where applicable, do it straight from the BIOS. Never install software OC suites unless absolutely necessary.

Pride, honour and purity.

I'm learning, I'm learning

Yeah, I did notice that voltages (when set to auto) in Ryzen Master are less than ideal but at least it's stable and I seem to be rid of the BSOD curse for now. I will try tighten down the settings in due course, but first I need to catch up on some much-needed sleep (nearly midnight here).

Cheers!

EDIT: As I was logging out, it happened again:

Code:
Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Well, f***

EDIT EDIT: I noticed that this last crash happened when I had a YouTube tab open with some music going (Hans Zimmer FTW), so I opened Task Manager alongside it and saw that I get occasional spikes to 99 - 100% on the GPU around about the time the crashes happen. It seems like the Video Decode % is perhaps causing the crashes, so I disabled Chrome's Hardware Acceleration (no idea why it was on, as I always turn it off - side effect of reloading my OS?) and the Video Decode has now not even moved one little bit. I will continue monitoring for stability and revert back with more info

I've seen my 2400g boost by it's self to quite high levels. I've seen 4.3GHz and I know about the sleep bug, the system was never put to sleep, was actually playing BF1 (on a fricking APU) Anyone else seen this? Was using HWMonitor unless there is a bug in the software.

StarfireX,

Can you see the same boost level in Ryzen Master?

Maybe it was a fluke, highest I've seen is 4089mhz now, still nice to boos that high.

I am truly amazed at the iGPU performance. Have my ram at 3466 and iGPU oced to 1550 and bf1 plays damn equal to my 1050ti, or very very close. CPU is stock, no need to OC with the auto boosting. Pretty much locked at 60fps at 1080p on low.

I personally shelved my my 2400G until it is well supported in Linux. I bought a Windows 10 License and installed it but I just really dislike it. Not trying to start a flame war. So it is back to my A12-9800 for me at least in the interim.

Ryzen- Too lazy to list everything. ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero- R5 1600, MSI Gaming Titanium- R5 2400G

Have you tried running it with a recent 4.16RC kernel? I hear that works.

Just got it in today!

Apologize for the pretty crappy UEFI picture but I'll get to town overclocking it soon when I get a second stick of 8GB 3000 RAM

EDIT : Uploaded fb links because the uploaders aren't working at all
