No. You can do it in the regular BIOS where you can set port speed.
And really?! Last BIOS, really?!

Do not frighten users, in the development 14X and 15X bioses
I meant that the bios published earlier got the title candidate for release

What do you mean by port speed?

Port speed: advanced BIOS mode -> Settings -> Advanced -> PCI Subsystem Settings -> PCIe lanes configuration.

Just finished building my 2990WX rig (need to re-cable), but a few questions here:

1. My CPU Cove voltage is quite high during idle, like 1.41+ but when I do a render benchmark it drops down to 1.19 or something like that (according to Ryzen Master), what is happening here? Power draw from the wall socket is around 183w on idle and jumps to around 436w when rendering. This makes sense but the idle core voltage does not.
2. I used PBO manual and used the preset 300w setting also disabled Cool and Quiet (was I right in doing this?)
3. Looking at CPU-Z my cpu frequencies at idle seem to be very high, around 3.1+ GHz most of the time. isn't this supposed to be much lower during idle? My power plan in windows is "balanced" but disabled hard drive sleep, system sleep and hibernate. Did not change any CPU setting.
4. I would like to OC my 2990wx mildly but I do not know the best way, any suggestions? Was looking at the DeBauer OC video and he suggested against a fixed OC because of poor single core performance so I just raised the power cap in the bios. The way he did it was a bit different because he had an Asus board but he raised Performance Enhancer to Level 3, whatever that means.

Hardware:
Threadripper 2990wx
MSi Meg Creation X399 (latest 1.31 bios that I got from here)
128GB GSkill Trident 2933
Samsung 970 nvme
Corsair H115i Platinum
Phanteks Pro TG case
EVGA P2 1000w Platinum PSU

OS:
Windows 10 Pro

I just noticed that the cpu voltage was reported differently between Ryzen Master and CPU-Z. In CPU-Z the voltage goes down all the way to 0.9 when on idle but in Ryzen Master it shows as 1.4. Anyway I enabled Cool and Quiet again and it brought down the clock speeds to 2.0 GHz on idle. Also power plan was changed (somehow) to AMD Ryzen Balanced, with min cpu = 90%.

However doing a 3 minute run in Prime 95 the temps went all the way to 68C! Is this normal? Also I noticed Prime 95 was able to draw a 3.7-3.8 GHz clock on the almost cores while rendering benchmarks only was able to draw 3.4-3.5 GHz. Temp wise the thing is a beast and my Corsair H115i Platinum (extreme fan profile) might not be enough for this beast

Hi,

You do have in your setup 2x2080ti in NVlink, right? Are you satisfied with the performance boost in games and in 3dmark, what scores are you having?
I'm considering to buy a second 2080ti for my 2990wx setup and your feedback would be much grateful.

Thanks!

I did have 2080Ti in NVlink yes, but one of the cards developed a fan fault so I am awaiting my RMA before I can really test the system out and note down some scores. When I do I will throw some numbers in this thread
