Just give me a Quad core (8 threads) with mad IPC and clocks.

We've been doing 5ghz for years and years (OC w/e). Can we get a 32 thread ripper at the 6ghz range stock please?

Not so sure if you'd want a quad core anymore. Even the 7700k at 5GHz can sometimes choke compared to 8700K.

Core i9 9900K @ 5.2 || EVGA Z390 DARK || 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4600 C18 @ 4266 C17 || GPU: EVGA Kingpin RTX2080Ti @ 2130MHz || Samsung 970PRO 1TB + 860EVO 2TB || Lian Li O11 Dynamic White || Corsair AX1600i || Screen: LG B8 OLED 55 and LG 34GK950F
Corsair H150i PRO + Noctua NF-A12x25

1.42 V2 Report

1usmus, running v2 of 1.42 and it runs great! My negative temps also went away in core temp. Thanks!

@1usmus

Would you politely be able to either post the original 142 BIOS's you are uploading OR perhaps update your BIOS flashing instructions, there is a break between the two.

You are providing updated (already modified) versions of 142 BIOS, but the original 142 is not published. However, when reading your flashing instructions, which appear to be quite outdated I think, you specify to flash the "original" BIOS first THEN use /GAN to update the mod BIOS.

With the BIOS mod's are you providing, it goes against your flashing instructions.

Hi, use below command to flash the already modded bios provided by 1usmus.

To flash 142V2 it would be:

Afuefix64 E7B92AMS.142V2 /P /B /N /K /X /CLRCFG

Hope it helps!

Threadripper 2920X @ 4.2 || MSI MEG X399 || 4x8GB G.Skill SniperX 3200 C16 || GPU: RTX2070 + RX570 (Mojave) || 3*Samsung 970PRO m.2 512GB + 850PRO SSD 1TB || TT Level 20 XT || 3*480 Custom Loop

Thanks valamyr_sc, that's ultimately how I have been updating over the past few udpates. I even found we can flash using m-flash from the BIOS directly, granted the naming format is correct.

But with that, I am still hoping to get 1usmus to sign off on that process as well, as in his thread there are a bunch of comments about bits and pieces of the BIOS not properly getting written by one way, but are using another etc....

Need a little help, I have 2920x and i have 3 options for cooling either nzxt x72, h150i or NH-U14S TR4-SP3. Which is the better option for 4ghz all cores load for rendering on 2920x ?

If I recall, the 1usmus method using the various flags and ''CLRCFG'' makes sure that the other BIOS is wiped in its entirety to make sure no remnants of the other BIOS exists to avoid possible future issues.
