I think it was a 960T unlocked to an X6 but I have a few that are around that speed.

BE CAREFUL , the thubans don't tolerate voltage as well as the Denebs did - 1.5 v + can be lethal to them .

Thanks for that, I might actually look to source an X4 960T as a bit of fun to see if I can unlock it, I have had a look at a list of stable X6 OCs, fastest raw clock speed I can see is at around 4.5GHz running at 1.54v, currently have mine stable at 4GHz on 1.4v (20x200), for me 1.5v is the highest voltage I want to go to.

I guess for me I am at the top of the leaderboard in terms of X6 and an RX470, there are others with a higher score with an X6 but with a much better graphics card. Looks like my setup with the RX470 is equivilent to a Ryzen 5 and some of the i5 and i7 processors so not bad for a fairly old CPU.

Will keep pushing though!

Look for batch 1207 X6 thuban or Zosma's All 3 I have are outstanding chips 4.6ghz + under water.

Have fun!

Will keep an eye out! Just checking on some of the records on HWbot it seems that I should be able to run to around 4.5ghz on around 1.45v - I can see that some of the records set on air or water are pushing to around 1.6v so won't be looking to run it that high - top frequency on water is at 5.4ghz but that's up at 1.68v! Currently running on a basic AIO, although load temps are in the mid 30s so happy that the thermals are under control at the moment.

The cooler you can keep it the less volts it will take. Take a look at this old submission I dug up.
https://hwbot.org/submission/2350175...2min_48sec_0ms

I had 2 960T's..one unlocked to X6, both clocked high as heck. Believe it or not a fly killed my 4 core. Got sucked into a fan during a suicide run...got flung onto the mobo right above the socket and shorted 2 active resistors. Puff of smoke and cpu/mobo dead. :8

980's are great clockers too. I sold one to someone here a couple years ago that would hit 4.6+ on an Asus mini ITX... i frgn LOVED that setup. Never should have sold it......

Win some, lose some. In the end it caused me to get my 2nd 960T that did unlock. The 4 core was a beast though....could run benches at 4.6GHz on air. Sigh...
