Im not sure. I just install drivers and leave them as they are. But, like i said, my physics score all of sudden tanked. At R7 2700 @ 4GHz used to get over 20K, now 15K.

Same with my R5 1600, at stock used to get 15K now 12K. The only common thing between them is the OS. The R7 drive is an image of the R5 system. I just plugged in a different Win key. It is working, just not in 3Dmark.

The Vulkan tests though won't run on my GTX 1060.

Sure makes you wonder what is up .

3850 mhz all core cl14 3200mhz ram on my 2700 = little over 20k in FS physics

Draw calls with RX 570

I tested API overhead and obtained 2.6 million drawcalls in single thread and 2 mil multi on [email protected] but it's with Nvidia pro GPU

Not sure if the test is flawed.

► Recommended GPU Projects: [email protected] , [email protected] (FP64) (AMD moreso) ► Other notable GPU projects: [email protected] (Nvidia), GPUGrid (Nvidia) ► Project list

Like a lot of benchmarks, its best use is to measure the performance of a given system at different settings.

The best use I've made of it is to choose ram, ht link and NB settings that give the best draw call numbers for single and multi thread, though they aren't always in agreement.

Did see an article quite a while ago that suggested core utilization started tanking beyond 6 on the multi on this test - something for me to check out I guess

Maybe the API test is influenced a lot by the GPU. Like i said, with the R5 1600 @ 3.7GHz all core, i got 2.6M in DX11 MT and that was Optimized default with the Ripjaws running at 2400MHz Cl16. ST is same as yours.

But in Firestrike both my R7 and R5 lost between 4-5K in Physics scores.

I used to get this much with the R5 . . .

At 4GHz on the R7, i used to get over 20K, now . . .

https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/31316542?

But my games are not affected as well as other benchmarks. Just 3DMark.

Yes, the stronger the gpu the more draw calls can be generated.

Nvidia cards show higher scores in the feature test draw calls disproportionate to other measurements of gpu power compared to the amd cards.

In the past I've managed 15 % higher draw call averages going from cl6 1600 to 2400mhz + ram on FX platforms . This gain isn't always proportionately reflected in games because of other limiting factors.

It's true but I've tried to keep things real for most users, B-Dies still very expensive specially worldwide.

And the sticks used were 16GB each so the dual vs single comparison could bring real results at same memory (density, ranks, etc) while not bottlenecking because of the lower ram available. All applications and games tested runs under 16GB RAM.
