32GB set of ram for 3950x Ryzen?

Are we all thinking that new ram sets will hit the market once Ryzen 3000 series drops? Im not wanting to rob my other pc for its 32gb B DIE ram, and want to purchase whatever ram ryzen needs to operate at its best, think i read somewhere 3733 is the top tier on a 1:1 divider, and anything over that speed it splits to 2:1.... anyone else see that? So what do i do....? Do I wait to see what pops up in the market or purchase a decent set of 4000Mhz ram, and roll the dice?

Nothing! Waiting for the 9900k and 2080ti to come out

...yes, I read that, too 3733 is tops on 1:1 divider. I have several sets of 32GB (4x 8) GSkill 3866 GTZR Samsung-B which can reach as high as 4133 at stock 1.35v, and alternatively 12-12-12 etc at 3200...RAM prices are still expected to come down, but with the end of Samsung-B production and a rush for Ryzen 3K soon, perhaps it makes sense to grab a kit soon as it gives you so much flexibility

Pretty much what @J7SC said, 2:1 above 3733. Just buy whatever kit fits your budget from here, set it to 3600/3733 and 1.5v, and tighten the timings as tight as you can.

Should be able to run at least CL15 3733 on most B-Die kits, likely 14 or 13 if you get lucky. My kit is pretty middle of the road and will do 4000 at CL15 all day at 1.45v.

I'd avoid the dual rank (16x2) kits, go for single rank 4x8 kits.

I am curious what is the difference between running dual channel versus single channel ram in X570. I guess reviews will tell us before I go ahead and buy dual channel 16-32GB DDR4 4800+ or I reuse my quad channel 32GB (8GBx4) of my DDR4-4000 Kit.

I wonder how many of those are running at 2N instead of 1N and how much it matters

2:1 above 3733 likely means you shouldn't run anything higher than 3733. Wait for reviews, but I'd be willing to bet the best thing to do is just run 3733 and tighten timings as much as you can. Stick with your 4000.

Vast majority of DDR4 kits are 2T but the manufacturers page should tell you.

1T vs 2T on an otherwise identical set of RAM shouldn't do much outside synthetics.

What if I'm sticking to ITX/DTX and want 32GB of RAM? The smaller boards tend to have shorter memory traces anyway.

I'm probably going for the Asus Crosshair VIII Impact board with a 3900X, although I'll wait to see whichever clocks the highest between the 8/12/16 core variants. Cooling won't be an issue as I already have a custom loop in my Mercury S3.

Then either settle for 16GB or settle for dual rank

nothing wrong with dual rank, just don't expect the same RAM OCs as single rank and make sure whatever you buy is on the QVL and you're golden.
