Ryzen 2600 temps almost the same as ryzen 170 at 4ghz

So i upgraded my ryzen 7 1700 to a ryzen 5 2600

Why you might think?

Lower nm, better ipc, higher oc,lower temps, games the divison 2 and world war z, last day with ryzen 2000 is today.

low price ryzen 3600 1800-1900 of my currency, 1049 for a ryzen 2600 i got 800 for the my 1700 + i payed for delivery, about 300 more did the have to pay for the 2600 with games worth of around 400, so no real loss

Have alot of experience with ryzen but theres on thing i can't understand, temps

I could run my ryzen 1700 at 4ghz and 1.325 volt in the bios LLC at 2 (did i won the silicone lottery?), im just under 1.340 volt at 4.0ghz on my ryzen 5 2600, maybe i can get it close til 1.300 volt.

Now both at 4ghz i get over 80c when it's hot basically the same as my 1700, i get around 80c when it's not so hot in the evening (prime 95 small fft, ibt).

Why at alomst the same vcore and the same ghz does my ryzen 2600 get as hot as my 1700? Did i won the silicone lottery with my 1700 and ryzen 5 2600(x) is just a hot cpu, wattage according to HWinfo is also the same just a bit more than 150 watt.

First generation rysen with 8 core shouldn't be as cool as a 6 core ryzen 2600 with lower nm,right.

I can oc my 2600 to 4.1ghz but it get's hot since i have set my pc up for silence and i have to raise 1x over 1.400volt (asus x470mb)

In my experience Ryzen chips all fall within 2-5c of each other with the same cooler. I went from from an 8 core 1700x @ 4.1 to a 4 core 2200G @ 4.0 and my idle and load temps are basically the same. The same was true when I swapped in a 2600 @ 3.9.

Also those load temps in P95 are rather high. Might be valuable to add another case fan or turn up the fan speed.

Atm in ibt very high, 78c at max load, using 155 watt According to HWInfo, buy lowering x2 i think it went down by 10+ watt in prime 95 small fft 80c (5 min) and 145 watt

Had either my ryzen 1700 or 2600 at stock speed and just a bit more than 1.000 volt temps where not lower than normal oc (1.300+ volt)

Don't know ambient temps but it is more than 22c (picture ibt very high)
