[der8auer] Per CCX overclocking

RYZEN 3000 OC per CCX rather than all-core

Update: Extreme Caution - doesn't seem worth risking your CPU over 200 or 300 MHz

It is a CPU killer if the VRM controller is running in offset-mode.

I tried it with the voltage mode set to offset (or "Auto") and setting 4200MHz for CCX0/1 and 4050MHz for CCX2/3 resulted in 1.405V actual Vout during Cinebench R20.

The voltages during the default OC-Mode remain sane, regardless of the VRM controller operating mode.
This hack however causes the voltage governor to go insane.

I have no idea why someone thought it would be a good idea to release this to the public...

Damn interesting. I can't test it yet in my 3900X, but I can see gaming performance to receive a good boost!

a few days ago Joey Riz put up a video in which he claims his
RYZEN 9 3900X @4.7 GHz only one CCD enabled (so, 6-core with SMT) on AIO

he later said "both CCDs enabled using ryzen master, I have CCD0 set too 4.5GHz and CCD1 at 4.3GHz at 1.35volts"

I just tried 4.3 all 8 cores of 3800x at 1.35v all via ryzen master manual and it crashed on cinebench. I don't have much faith i'll get one ccx to 4.4-4.5ghz and the other ccx at 4.2 at 1.4v

Problem is this should have been in the UEFI from day 1. No as a manufacturer only OC tool that gets leaked. Ryzen master why offering many things seems to be a giant resource hog from what I read. OC tools need to be simple, minimal with no performance impact, not some bloated scifi GUI app. Simplicity and function over form. Though the CCX OC Tool being made with QT is far from simple and small, it's a gigantic over 179MB compressed app, what the hell.

Only reason to use QT is because it's easy and cross platform, likely made on linux.

I agree with your opinions of lightweight OC tools and lack thereof.
