I am fiddling with X570 Taichi and I cannot get an OC at 4.3 or 1.30v with R3900x ,, I also have ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming and with this I get 4.3 at 1.25v with the calibration at minimum
Is anyone working with this board ?? I can't achieve something stable

if new rumors are right 3900xt boost is gonna be 4.8ghz that would be a single core boost tho.

Yeah that’s a more reasonable expectation, I’m hoping they are heavily binned or a more refined 7nm tsmc process, that’ll really be competitive against a 10900K. Though really the 3900X doesn’t really have to try to compete with a 10900K as you can’t realistically find any in stock.

I don't want to sound stupid but is W10 V2004 bugged or something ?

I noticed a remarkable performance boost (single core) on my 3900X (stock)

2004 is bugged but not in that way, I even lost some points in CB r20 unless I use 1ismus power plan.
W10 1903 and 1909 have supposedly had some enhancements for Ryzen core load assignment and equalization which helped single core/thread scores but never heard of it for 2004.

Been playing around with PBO settings a lot lately... I realize most here are after the absolute most performance, but for me lately, efficiency is important.

so here's what I've done

PPT set to 100w
TDC and EDC set to 140 (not really that important here)

rest can be auto, but I set mine manually to turn up the scaling.... and then undervolted slightly. -.05v

This resulted in a nice single core score still pretty high for my chip of 214 in R15 and 523 in R20
All core suffered a little landing me just over 3000 in R15 and 7000 in R20.

Boost clocks hit 4.675 ghz for single core occasionally and under single core load hold around 4.55 usually... All core loads hold around 4ghz.

This is all done with out power draw exceeding 100 watts on the cores... to get the same single core scores and only slightly higher multi core scores it would pull 140w before.... I think it's worth the savings for long running loads.

If I cool the ryzen 3 with a waterblock, will having the CPU inlet on top of the io die or cpu die have any real performance impact?

I have a raystorm waterblock (old one from FX days) and I have had it both ways on mine (rerouted my hoses).. didn't notice any impact...
