Chiplet is only 74mm², lot of power in a small space - not a whole lot of surface area to dissipate with. Cooler is barely warm when Tdie is toasty.

I have the Scythe Fuma 2 and I am getting 44c idle and 81c running cinnebench R20 with PBO enabled. Some of the people on reddit were reporting over 90C with AIO's.

Even 65C would be a massive stretch. 50C is categorically out of the question.

Either you're not actually at full load (142W) or your temperature sensor is broken.
You were correct. I think the first time I checked I accidentally ran the a single core benchmark when I tested temps. I ran again with all cores and temps seemed to hold around 72C.

That makes sense. 72C seems like a very reasonable temperature, quite a good one even.

If those temps are correct that's pretty low compared to other AIO's. Might be on to something with the CM AIOs. I'm going to be getting a Corsair H115i from a friend soon so I should be able to post the results from that but from what I have read from others experiences it's not sounding good.

It does seem like a good cooler but my ambient temperatures are pretty low where my computer is located too. Usually around 68 - 70 Fahrenheit which i'm sure helps.

If you wouldn't mind I would be really interested to know what your temps are after 10 min running OCCT small data set. It's a free light weight program for stress testing. https://www.ocbase.com/

I'm really trying to figure out if certain AIO's & coolers work substantially better than others with the 3900x and I would be interested in keeping the test parameters the same so I could maybe chart it later.

3700x..78C peak temps under Aida64 w/ h100i (original, not v2) on silent fan profile. Doubt the fan profile matters, chip warms up almost instantly. Cpu settings all stock on gigabyte x570 pro

Definitely will be needing better cooling when/if i make the jump to a 16 core.. these suckers are tough to keep cool.

I will be installing a 3700x underneath a corsair 360mm aio this weekend. Part of me hopes that it's not quite up to the task, might be the stimulus I need to stop being lazy and build another loop.
