Availability of 3900x question, please help.

Just wondering. As you know, they're mostly out of stock in the US from the major online retailers. However, some of them will let you order it and then you would get them after some wait time. If any of you ordered and then waited until you got it, how long was the wait for you? And from which e-tailer? Reason I ask, is I ordered from a local/small store on July 19 and its August 7 and still nothing (they keep telling me AMD keeps pushing the ETA). I'm just wondering if I should ask a refund, and try my luck with a bigger retailer (like B&h, ETC)....

Thanks!!

For new hardware you want to be going big etailer (but not Amazon) so yes the likes of B&H, newegg etc. Going local is great for stuff you know they'll have in, but I think the places with the big buying power will likely get some priority in shipments.

Edit: You mention refund? taking funds for something they don't even have is a bit crap imho

Yesterday, Newegg restocked them... they lasted a whole 10 minutes. Check ebay and you'll see why this is happening (resellers getting 650 for them). After eBay fees and shipping, they can't be making all that much can they?

In the UK we get "sell for £1 max fees" offer quite regularly, do you have the same in the states?

Still not in stock.
3950X will be worse, doubt retails will get one until next year.
What is a good web store to camp for one?
Usually what time of the day stocks replenish?

Thank you centvainy because I was able to get one Wednesday from my local microcenter in Dallas. My microcenter got 32 of the 3900x and sold all of them by the end of the day. When I got mine at 2:00 they still had 21 left. I'm glad I got one.
