Best CPU for budget 1080p gaming rig

Looking for sub-$200 CPUs for a budget 1080p gaming rig that will have a RX580 for a GPU.

2600X or 3400G look pretty good at $150. Do the IPC gains of Zen2 outweigh the 2 core disadvantage to the Zen1+ 2600X for gaming?

What about $100 processors like the 2200G? Is that enough compute for 1080p?

sub $200, probably the Ryzen 5 3600.

sub $100, if you can stretch your budget $5 you can get the Ryzen 5 1600 for $105. If you have a $100 hard limit then either Ryzen 3 1200 for $60 or Ryzen 3 3200G for $98.

I'd go for a 1600; as Pook said, it is ~$105 (shame you don't live by a Microcenter and were looking at one earlier if you do). Really hard to beat the value at that point. If you can get it to 4ghz it should be within a stone's throw of the 3600 for ~half the cost (at stock and 1080p a 3600 is ~17% faster, but the 1600 has relatively low clocks).
