Opteron 3365 on AM3+?

I was wondering if an Opteron 3365 would work with my M5A99X EVO R2.0, also if is possible to overclock it.

Is it better than an 8320?

I think the opteron 3365 is like a FX first gen 8 core, like 8120, but quite possibly locked.

It should work and should overclock. It is newer but it isn't any better then the 8320. It might overclock a few 100mhz higher. But it isn't really worth the price. If you are going to get a new cpu the 8370 or one of the 83xxE parts would be a better choice. However it is a dead platform so i wouldn't recommend it.

Ozlay is correct... I have both these chips. 8320 is better.

Understood, just wondering coz I've bought a cheap 9590 for my brother, but probably the post office have lost it... So was looking for a replacement of somekind, I should sell the 8320 with a m5a97 evo r2.0 to a friend soon.
