NH-D15 on a 3700X?

So I'm currently using a the included Wraith Prisim and I could get a used NH-D15 for about 50 bucks with the Intel, old AMD, and AM4 mounts. But I'm not quite sure it's a good idea considering how little i might be to overclock more?

Details...
Ambients where I am can get as high as 40c, average about 37c-ish.
I'll be doing alot of allcore usage for premiere renders.
I don't really care about noise, if anything I care more about RGB... Haha!
I'm fine with using the 3700X near it's max temp, as long as it dosent throttle.

Hi @Speedster159 in all honesty I believe you would gain more from another cooler. I unfortunately cannot comment about air coolers all that much as I've been on an AIO for the past couple of builds and have not really used the stock air cooler that came with my Ryzen 7 1700, Ryzen 7 2700 or Ryzen 9 3900X, but from what I read even though the cooler supplied with the AMD Ryzen processor is not bad, it is still not in the same league as some of the air coolers you can buy.

If you not going to overclock, then the stock cooler might be fine, but I do believe you may miss out on some additional performance at stock or with PBO (never used it though) if you are using the stock cooler.

What you really miss out on Ryzen with the Wraith Prism is silence! If you get one of the old double tower coolers and fit just the middle fan you can set the fan to silent mode and get better cooling than the Wraith in any mode and you won't hear a thing. Settling for a single centre fan on them may be the one limiting factor with these old towers because so many performance Ryzen motherboards have I/O covers that obstruct an exit fan as much as ram obstructs an entry fan and if you have a narrow case this may limit you to 120mm outside fans instead of 140mm.

There are only 4 reviews atm of that cooler (tomshardware, kitguru, bechmark.pl and some Tech for Techs YT channel), only one compares it to Noctua, and if you extrapolate other results - it does not perform better. I also find tom's hardware noise testing a complete BS, I have a lot of P14 and on full RPM just one fan DO produce way more noise than 40dB. You're never at 1 meter distance to your PC as well.

As someone who who has used both with my 3700X which I wouldn't bother if you aren't really overclocking. The Wraith Prism looks better, doesn't hide your board or have ram clearance issues and the mounting system is no hassle.

Ryzen- Too lazy to list everything. ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero- R5 1600, MSI Gaming Titanium- R5 2400G

The Wraith is probably fine if you don't plan to OC much. Just make sure your case has good airflow.

^ Sounds like an infernal environment for a PC. I'd go for the NH-D15 in a hyperventilated case.
