Therefore is the HCP-1300 identical to the V1300 plat? Or have CM and Antec made changes to the design? Because I don't want to be stuck with more issues 3 months down the line again.

I dont know i could not find any other find than Delta is the OEM
The review on Tom´s Hardware did say that they had seen the design before and it had not impressed them

You can read the review yourself
https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews...pply,6115.html

I cant say if its the same design or if it has been modified but if you want me to take a shot in the dark i think its just a rebrand but i could be wrong so dont call the spanish inquisition if i am wrong

I did read the review. They were more disappointed in the fact that this is more an older platform more than anything else. The CM unit looks "cleaner" inside than the Antec unit I can definitely say that. I saw that some of the caps are different as well but besides that I cant see much else different. Well I guess I will give the CM unit a chance. I just hope it ends up better than the Antec did in terms of reliability. 3 units later Boo on the Antec.

I did also look at internal pictures of the HX1200 vs the HX1200i and they also look like the same platform. I also don't see much difference there either.

The HX1200 is an improved version thats why the HXi is pointless its worse and cost more
Only reason it cost more is the 2% better efficiency

My FX-8320 at 4Ghz was still doing fine for 60Fps gaming (VSync on) on Apex Legends and WarThunder. WT was only giving me fps drops in certain scenarios, with lots of units.

So far I have not noticed any noticeable slowdowns. I haven't done mu h extensive testing with the V64 yet. But I know that I play Siege very happily at 130ish FPS 1080p with everything maxed (except for the UHD texture pack I don't use that) ill have to play more games to see what's happening. But so far although she doesn't light benchmarks on fire the ol Visshy is still trucking along. In fact it might even be happier that it doesn't have to push 2 60CU furys any more. Because those 2 together were still stronger than 1 v64. In the titles that I could actually use my Furys in.

Loved the FX 8 core /fury combo when I had them paired together. The RTX 2080 is spastic by comparison - it has really odd utilization numbers at 1080p just not a good fit apparently.

Yup my third unit. And if you have a quick squizz on Newegg. Only 3 star review average. A lot of users having issues with it. Also on amazon as well. So yeah.

My only worry is the psu I ordered is the same Delta based platform as the Antec. I just hope its just the components that Antec was using in it that's flawed and not the platform itself.
Man bummer. If a lot of users have an issue, then I guess no 1300w Antec for me please... Perhaps a different unit.... But was thinking when one of mine finally die (now talking about it probably later today) I was thinking about Seasonic. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on some of their units too.

I killed a Rosewill unit once. It was quite small came with a case had gotten for the customer. It was 500w. Could not handle a GTX 8800 Ultra. Think I got a few weeks from it. Replaced it with a 550w Antec (long ago 12+ years) And got two years from that, but it was always running at it's max capacity lol. Then I realized something.... Go big or stay home. X-fire and SLI was not the way to go with such low wattage units..... Always seemed plenty on the AGP boards .... lol. Meh, live and learn I guess.

__
Since you have nice low temps now.... what does 1.55-1.60v get you with a x4 down-core?? Hitting at least 5.2ghz?

I havent tried running 4 cores. I paid for 8 cores dammit imma use them. But I cant go above around 1.55 vcore on 8 cores as my VRMs throttle. I am sure I could do 5.2 though on 1.6ish
