32 Gb RAM in 2 sticks for AM4
With the following configuration:
Strix X370-F _or_ Strix X470-F (The Strix is my mobo of choice because of its VRM and low price.)
2700X for now, 3900X in the future
32GB RAM in 2 sticks (Using two sticks is required to be able to upgrade to 64 GB in the future.)
And given these requirements:
Rock stable (This machine is to be used for work and other productive tasks.)
Eliminating the possible RAM bottlenecks for the aforementioned CPU's, so that they run at 90-95% of their full potential
Not breaking the bank (I.e. one can buy 4000 MHz RAM for twice the price of 3200 MHz, that's possible in theory but unacceptable for me)
Which RAM model would you recommend?
Given the 2nd requirement of enabling 90 to 95% of the CPU computing power, which RAM frequency is required?
I used to have Crucial Ballistix (yellow stickers) back in the X58 days, those overclocked really well and with low timings, and were reasonably expensive, as you might recall. Is there anything similar in the DDR4 world?
