CPU - Ryzen 5 1600 AF

CPU Cooler - AMD Wraith Max RGB

Motherboard - Gigabyte B450M DS3H mATX

RAM - OLOy WarHawk RGB 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 3000 - Received damaged

GPU - EVGA GTX1070 8GB GDDR5

SSD - Team Group 128GB M.2 SSD

HDD - Seagate 5900RPM 4TB 64MB Cache - Received the wrong HDD, got a 3TB instead. Seller gave me partial refund since I decided to keep. Going to keep my home surveillance footage.

Fans - upHere 120mm White LED Case Fan X3

Total of 630

Could have been cheaper but I wanted the case, needed a SFX power supply for somewhat decent cable management, and the 3TB hard drive for storage.

Hopefully you will have better luck with your ram. I bought the OLOy 2x8GB DDR4 3000 as well and both sticks came faulty. It would not even install Windows and would fail memtest. Put a 8gb GSkill I had laying around and smooth as butter. Hopefully the replacement works, it is cheap memory.
Nice build, i I recently did something similar for my living room
1600
Asrock B450 ITX
16gb Corsair Vengance 3000
Asus GTX 1060
NZXT H200

I didn't get one of these newer 1600's though (bought used) Didn't even know they existed.

On a side note I have never heard of a mATX sff build, didn't know the 2 could go together.

I am giving them another chance, bad batches do happen. You really can't go wrong for the price. My new set gets here on Wednesday. Hopefully it goes well.

Well kinda sff. Just wanted to do a mATX build since I can't see paying 100+ for a itx motherboard. The Goldenfield case is 16 or liters and a true SFF is 11 I believe. Attached is a picture of my living room rig, just waiting on the new RAM. I had to get creative with the 3.5 HDD. If it was not for it I could have gotten a cleaner build.

Oh wow that's a pretty small mAtx case. I like it. Looks maybe smaller than my "itx" case. The H200. You really did get creative with that HDD. Was there an exhaust fan there?

I hear you on the itx tax. Not sure what the deal is with that.

Yep, 80mm exhaust fan. Currently have 2 120mm intake and 1 120mm exhaust. Should be enough, not the most demanding system.

Yeah figured you had something up top for exhaust. Sweet little rig.

You have a 580 in the 3dmark but a 570 in your profile?

I should have a similar setup with 3000 mhz ram so should be able to bench in a day or 2. Is that with the stock cooling and no overclock on the 1600? Stock GPU settings?

For comparison here is my old 1600 AE + Overclocked 570 4gb https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/21537094/fs/18972865

Case be here friday to build my 1600 AF + 580 8gb Red Dragon

** EDIT **

Gonna be awhile before I can setup that 1600 AF. The $50 used asus prime b450m-a kept restarting for no reason. The 580 I put in my 2700x system and it wouldn't seat properly and at stock it wouldn't finish firestrike. I downloaded the stock bios (in case of miner) and when tried to flash was told already had that version. So i'm sending back the gpu and motherboard.

Also gonna RMA the OLOY ram. Very disappointed. The "heatspreader" came off with just normal insertion. I'd rather pay the $2-5 more for G.skill or crucial or some reputable brand.

Man I am with you, very cheaply made. I thought to myself when I bought it hey 50 bucks for 16GB DDR4 3000. My replacement gets here today hopefully it is stable. But moving forward I will pay the extra as well. Sorry to hear about your other troubles.

Edit:

Just received the second set of OLOy ram and can already tell this one is stable. Will test here shortly. Very excited what this budget PC can do.

Just did a few benchmarks with this little CPU.

Very impressed with the level of performance Ryzen has brought, especially for only 90 bucks shipped to my door (85 plus tax). Just to think that this system only costing me 630 is comparable to my main X99 5820K/R9 290 Crossfire system from 2014. I am glad AMD is back with a bang. Below are some benchmark scores.

Firestrike - 16010 Total Score - 18061 Graphic - 7845 Combined

Time Spy - 6282 Total - 6268 Graphics - 6366 CPU

Cinebench R15 - 1381 Multi

The above was achieved with a CPU overclocked to 4.0. Could achieve 4.2 but would require 1.4 Vcore and required a better cooler.XMP enabled. And graphics with a 100 core overclock.

Not bad at all. My nephew really likes the system so I might build another similar system.

Now my case is a hot box. The GPU dumps out a lot of heat and can't leave the case fast enough.
